Straight answers about services, planning, accuracy, airspace, weather, professional boundaries, delivery and pricing.

  • What services does QuickView provide?

Mapping, measurement, RGB and thermal inspection, 3D modeling, recurring monitoring, and real estate marketing. Each project is scoped around the result you need.

  • What areas do you serve?

QuickView serves the Chattahoochee Valley, east Alabama, west and central Georgia, and South Metro Atlanta. Projects beyond the core region are considered based on scope and travel.

  • Are you FAA certified and insured?

Yes. Commercial flights are conducted under FAA Part 107. Current insurance information and certificates are available on request.

  • Can you fly in controlled airspace?

Sometimes. QuickView reviews airspace, authorization requirements, site conditions, operating limits, permissions, and risk before scheduling a mission.

  • What happens if weather changes?

The mission is rescheduled when wind, precipitation, visibility, lighting, or thermal conditions would compromise safety or data quality.

  • What is an orthomosaic?

An orthomosaic combines many overlapping photographs into one corrected, high-resolution aerial map that can be georeferenced and measured.

  • How accurate is drone mapping?

Accuracy depends on altitude, overlap, camera, RTK, ground control, terrain, surface texture, processing, and intended use. Requirements are established during scoping.

  • Does drone mapping replace a survey?

No. Drone-derived maps support planning and documentation but do not replace a licensed survey where a certified or stamped survey is legally required.

  • What are RTK and ground control points?

RTK improves image positioning during flight. Ground control points provide surveyed reference locations that can strengthen alignment and quality verification when required.

  • Can you measure stockpile volumes?

Yes. Properly planned photogrammetry can create measurable surfaces for stockpile quantities, earthwork comparisons, areas, distances, and elevations.

  • Can you create 3D models?

Yes. Overlapping aerial and ground imagery can produce point clouds, textured meshes, surface models, and interactive views when the capture conditions support reconstruction.

  • What does a thermal inspection show?

Radiometric thermal imagery documents temperature patterns and anomalies. Qualified specialists determine the cause, severity, and appropriate corrective action.

  • Why capture RGB imagery with thermal data?

Visible imagery provides location and physical context for thermal patterns. Paired views make findings easier for roofing, solar, maintenance, and engineering teams to review.

  • Can you inspect commercial and residential roofs?

Yes. QuickView can collect detailed RGB and radiometric thermal imagery while reducing difficult access solely to obtain photographs.

  • Do you offer recurring construction monitoring?

Yes. Weekly, biweekly, monthly, or milestone-based missions can create consistent maps, imagery, panoramas, video, measurements, and dated project records.

  • Can you document difficult-to-access structures?

Yes, when the mission can be completed safely and legally. Common applications include roofs, bridges, towers, façades, utilities, and industrial assets.

  • What information do you need for a quote?

Send the location, project objective, intended use, approximate size or asset type, schedule, access information, and expected deliverables.

  • How is pricing determined?

Project Base Fee + Size/Complexity + Deliverables + Processing + Travel + Special Requirements. Pricing reflects the work required to produce the result, not flight time alone.

  • How far ahead should I schedule?

Contact QuickView as early as practical. Airspace, access, weather, site coordination, control requirements, and processing workload can affect availability.

  • What affects turnaround time?

Site size, processing load, deliverable complexity, weather, airspace, control requirements, review needs, and requested revisions affect delivery timing.

  • What files can you deliver?

Formats are agreed during scoping and may include photographs, video, PDF reports, GeoTIFFs, point clouds, 3D models, measurement reports, or interactive content.
